Happy Valentine's!

This Valentine's day just came and went. We were so busy getting Valentine's ready and with parties and making treats, the day just flew! So, I don't have anything too exciting to post, but we did make sugar cookie bars and they are SO delicious, so I thought I'd share the recipe. I got the recipe from this website: www.cucinafamiglia.com

SUGAR COOKIE BARS

1 cup butter, softened
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar

Cream together, and add:

1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream again and add:

1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 cups flour

Mix well, and spread mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

*The cookie dough is so super yummy!*

Frosting:

3 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup butter, softened

 Combine all ingredients and beat with electric mixer or spoon until smooth. If too stiff to spread, add a little bit more milk until spreadable.
